Hair Care
For a while now, I have been on the hunt for a nourishing hair mask. I tend to do a lot with my hair on a weekly basis. Whether its putting heat on it (blow dry, flat iron, curling iron) or piling on the products (mouse, hair spray, dry shampoo, hair oil), my hair is constantly being treated in some way. Because I do so much to my hair, I only wash it about once a week or every five days. I know that sounds counter productive, but shampooing can actually strip away the natural protective oils in hair, and that is the last thing I need! For a few years now, I have been applying good ol' organic coconut oil to my hair as a mask. Although I am in full support of coconut oil and EVERYTHING it does, I decided I needed a hair mask that is specifically designed to restore brittle or weakened hair. After a few weeks of researching, I decided my answers would lie in the infamous Detox Market located in West Hollywood.
After playing 20 questions with the informative and might I add, sweetest associate who had the most amazing skin ever, I finally decided upon the Rahua hair mask. The associate told me it was her favorite, and after she explained all of the benefits, I could not resist the urge to buy it and go home right away to test out its magic. This Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask is an all natural hair mask designed to breathe life back in to damaged hair. The natural ingredients (Ungurahua oil, sunflower seed oil, gluten-free quinoa protein, lavender and eucalyptus) penetrate the scalp and infuse hair with the nutrients it needs to strengthen and revive hair molecules.
I slathered this mask into my wet hair, and then combed through in order to be sure that every hair was coated with the treatment mask. I left it on for about 20 minutes, then washed it out with shampoo. My hair felt amazing after the shower, and I cannot wait to use this guy again--it works wonders! I plan to use it as often as once a week - nothing better than shiny, Kate Middleton hair, right?! You can either use it like I did, before shampooing, or you can use it AFTER shampooing, in lieu of conditioner. Just make sure to leave it in for at least 15 minutes!
Oh, I almost forgot! My new favorite place to spend money and learn about amazing products is the Detox Market; do yourself a favor and go check them out!
