Perfect Summer Lip

A standard part of any girl's beauty routine is a lip. Whether you are going for dramatic or low-key, it's usually the finishing touch or, pièce de résistance, if you will... In other words, it's important to get it right. Right?

As gingers, our go-to lip is MAC's Viva Glam V. Sometimes paired with the infamous liner from the 90s, Spice, and sometimes just on it's own. It's a universally flattering shade, and compliments our coloring well, if we do say so ourselves!

But this summer, I've found myself reaching for Fresh's Tinted Lip Treatment in Rosé... It goes on like silk and feels like a light chapstick, while also protecting you with some good old SPF. And since it's a treatment, your lips actually get nourished and stay soft and moisturized for hours! The overall effect is that you will look like you've been eating a strawberry popsicle and have the most perfect pouty, berry-stained lips.

  2. Hi GingeTwins. Love your blog!! I have a couple of questions for you about fragrances. I'm looking for a new daily fragrance. I am in the medical profession and work very closely with the elderly population. My tendency in fragrance is subtle and fresh. Any suggestions? Also, would love to gift my niece, who heads back to college soon, a gift. I know perfumes can be such a personal thing, but do you have any suggestions for an evening fragrance for college age women when they go out for fun on weekends. Thanks so much : ) Audrey Ruston

    1. Thanks so much, Audrey! One of our most favorite perfumes is Kai Fragrance. It is floral, fresh and amazing! It smells very tropical and is not cloying in the slightest bit. If you want it to be SUPER subtle, I would use the perfumed body lotion instead of the actual perfume. Joe Malone is another favorite of ours... Check out their counter at Nordstrom and see what you like best! His perfumes are also great for mixing and matching, and I think they're all technically "colognes", so none of them are very perfume-y. For your niece, you can never go wrong with Chanel and Dior - they are classics! For something more contemporary, Byredo's "Gypsy Water" is taking the fashion world by storm! Hope this helps! xo
