Pixi Glow Tonic

Earlier this week, I raved about the wonders of Biologique Recherche's infamous Lotion P50. A dream of a product, really. Would you think I'm crazy if I told you that I had been considering the purchase for close to half a year?? I'm serious. A few month's back I was thiiis close to clicking "proceed to checkout", and instead did so for another product - Pixi's Glow Tonic. Why? Because it has most of the same ingredients as P50, without the questionable phenol. It has even been called a "knockoff P50" and said to give similar results.

I have always had a pretty intense skin regimen, but it was a little lacking in the toner department... While I love Caudalie's cult Beauty Elixir and other equally refreshing rosewater mists, like the one by Fresh, I wanted something that felt like it was working a little harder on my behalf. A little research unveiled the UK favorite toner: Pixi's Glow Tonic. Everywhere I looked, it received rave views for giving it's users that coveted glow. Already sold, I delved a little further: It exfoliates your skin without using any alcohol and actually has nourishing ingredients like aloe vera to hydrate! Not to mention witch hazel to tighten up those pores and ginseng to improve circulation.

I purchased without hesitation. After using twice a day, every day, I began to notice quite the improvement. My pores were tighter and I was getting some definite glow action. But perhaps most importantly, anything you put on your skin afterwards gets absorbed much better due to the exfoliation you get, amounting to better results from my (crazy expensive) serum! Hooray!

Amazing results and did I mention it smells delish?? And looks adorable on your counter/vanity? Incredibly similar to the Lotion P50 without quite so much punch. More like a firm fist bump. But at literally half the price, I'd say that's a bargain! It's perfect for those who think they hate toners and/or looking to up the ante on their skincare regime with little to no effort. But please, please, please don't forget the sunscreen! Def important regardless, but the Glow Tonic has a bit of glycolic acid in it (exfoliation) making it doubly important to lather up!
